Free ASVAB Assembling Objects Tips and Practice Test – ASVAB Test Prep
The ASVAB Assembling Objects section is a test designed with the aim of assessing your ability to understand and remember the relationships among objects. This portion of the ASVAB test will give you some separate pieces of an object and requires you to mentally fit them together. About its format, the computer-based ASVAB Assembling Objects version includes 16 questions which are completed in 15 minutes. For the paper-and-pencil test, the test takers are required to take 25 questions in 15 minutes.

1. Connection Items
The ASVAB test questions in the connection items part are relevant to the mental attachment of line and shapes. For instance, a round shape labeled at a center point with an “a”, a square shape labeled at the specific point with “b” and a line labeled “a” on tip and “b” on the other. The test takers must match the “a” from the round to the “a” from the line and the “b” from the square to the “b” from the line, and then decide what the image among 4 possible options is accurately similar to your mental matching.
In fact, matching is not simply re-organizing the shapes. Matching in this ASVAB test part may involve moving or rotating the pieces according to many different directions and then fit them together. Some of the answers with incorrect images may look correct but a piece can be actually a mirror image of the original, so you should consider thoroughly before choosing.

2. Puzzle Items
The puzzle items are the other type of ASVAB Assembling Objects test questions. Each of these quizzes includes many separate shapes and the candidates are required to connect them and create a new shapes. You will be given 4 possible shapes to choose from and you must find the exact shape which consist of the given separate shapes. Below are an example of the puzzle item. You will be given the set of shapes and you must find the best answers from 4 choices A, B, C, D.
A commonly used tactic for completing these ASVAB test questions is comparing one piece at the same time. First, select one piece from the given original set of shapes and then scan the 4 possible images to check which of them include your selected original pieces. In this way, you can quickly eliminate the incorrect answers. Use this tactic for all the shapes till you find the accurate answer. It can take you a bit more time and efforts but it surely helps you find the right choices.
